The progress on the works at the Spotify Camp Nou shows a much more recognizable face of the stadium. The installation of the grass is the next step
The Spotify Camp Nou is showing, day by day, a much more recognizable and promising face ahead of FC Barcelona's return in May to the culé temple. This week, the playing surface has been prepared for the installation of the new grass. After several months where the field was crowded with machinery, now the center of the pitch is a completely smooth surface, filled with sand, where only the irrigation outlets protrude.
In this sense, the progress on the works corresponds with the deadlines set by the club's management. As we mentioned a few weeks ago on FCBN, the club's idea is to play the last two matchdays of LaLiga at Les Corts, with the Clásico against Real Madrid on Sunday, May 11 (matchday 35) being the day of the expected return to Camp Nou.

This will occur with a partial capacity of approximately 65,000 spectators, awaiting the installation of the third tier next summer. The installation of seats in the first two levels of the structure is increasingly advanced, while the bases of the third amphitheater protrude alongside the enormous cranes set up outside the stadium. Despite the rain, the workers have been working hard all week.
There are also significant advances in the VIP box areas and in the interior of the dressing rooms and other areas. Outside, there is still a lot of material and machinery visible, while the facade of the stadium is still far from completion. However, the evolution of the works in recent weeks has been remarkable, and the most important thing is to complete the preparation of the field and all its accesses by the end of April, as well as the necessary operational licenses to reopen the culé temple.
