Historically, Nike and Adidas have starred a big rivalry to stand out like the best sportive marks to world-wide level. Now, this 'battle' seem to move to the changing room of the FC Barcelona, since in the staff culé exists a remarkable parity regarding the sponsorship, with at least nine players favoured by the North American company and other 10 by the German, leaving little space for the entrance of Cougar, Mizuno and Under Armour.
In this sense, the last in changing of sponsor has been Lamine Yamal, the one who, to the equal that Leo Messi in his moment, has happened to be part of Nike, mark that accompanied it during his formative stage, to convert now in a member more than the family Adidas. In fact, in the duel against the Naples in the Stadium Diego Armando Maradona, could him see for the first time using boots of the mark of the 'three bands': the Adidas X Crazyfast Messi Elite, a line launched in honour to the excapitán culé with the colours of the flag of Argentina.
This change has removed the leadership of representation to Nike in the Barcelona changing room, mark that, by the way, also seems to be wobbling regarding the sponsorship of the club for the season 24-25, because of the different stages that have posed in the last days and the companies that have showed interest in sponsoring to the FC Barcelona, a club of first level. Now, Adidas, by very little, has a greater representation in the staff like sponsor.
How it divides the sportive sponsorship in the Barcelona changing room?
In this sense, the company of the 'three bands' has the two goalkeepers culés, Marc-André ter Stegen and Iñaki Crag, Ferran Torres, as well as Pedri González, Raphinha, Joãor Félix, Andreas Christensen, İlkay Gündoğan, Jules Koundé and the mentioned Lamine Yamal. On the other hand, the mark homónima to the Greek goddess of the victory has Joãor Cancel, Alejandro Balde, Pablo Gavi, Robert Lewandowski, Marcos Alonso, Vitor Roque, Sergi Roberto and Frenkie of Jong.
To finalise, there is at least three players of the Barça that have opted for accepting the sponsorship of other marks. Curiously, in spite of his renown, Cougar, one of the companies that has mentioned like possible candidate to dress to the club the next season, only has a representative in the Barcelona payroll: the defender Iñigo Martínez. Besides, it is Fermín López, the one who has opted for turning into image of Under Armour after leaving Adidas to finals of the past year, and finally, Oriol Romeu, the one who is supported by Mizuno, a bet that has sustained along the time, since it is linked contractualmente with this mark from his stage in the Southampton.
