After rumours, contradictory informations and unexpected twists, the FC Barcelona has finish sacking to Ernesto Valverde and leaves the team in hands of X, the one who will relieve him in the charge
When the river sounds, water carries... And the one of Ernesto Valverde has desbordado. The FC Barcelona has announced of official way this Monday, after long days of tension, speculations and twists of script, the dismissal of the 'Txingurri' like trainer of the first Barcelona team. Josep Maria Bartomeu and the rest of the managerial culé consider that the cycle of the extremeño is more than finished, and have decided to boost a change in the bench for like this relanzar to a Barcelona that is showing very endeble this season 2019-20.
Quique Setién is the chosen to substitute him, and his arrival already is official to all the effects. Signature with the FC Barcelona an agreement until June of 2022, with a hypothetical clause of exit that still is not confirmed, although whose presence in the agreement seems more than likely to leave place to Xavi Hernández once the one of Terrassa was prepared to give the jump.
Ernesto Valverde already did long -from Anfield- that lost all the credit of the barcelonismo, and therefore it surprised so much that it kept him a campaign more at the head of the team culé. The played has not gone out well, as the Barça is showing his worst registers in long and has a lot of problems backwards, when being fitting too many goals.
The last Classical of 2019 left very touched to Valverde, no by the result (0-0) but by the version of a Barça that it was a toy in hands of the Real Madrid during big part of the party. The bad results of this start of 2020, with the 2-2 of the 'derbi' in front of the RCD Espanyol and the elimination in the semifinal of the Supercopa of Spain against the Athletic of Madrid (2-3) have satisfied the patience of the directive.
Bartomeu has not wanted to expect to the end of season, and sondeó so much to Xavi Hernández as to Ronald Koeman so that they did charge of the team from already same, to half of season. Any of the two accepted the proposal when having commitments signed so much with the To the-Sadd as with Holland, and is thus that in Can Barça have looked for other alternatives of weight in the last hours.
This Sunday celebrated an extraordinary meeting that finish happened the morning, and in which they participated the president, Josep Maria Bartomeu; the managerial Javier Embroider; the CEO of the club, Òscar Grau; the technical secretary, Éric Abidal; and his assistant, Ramon Plans. This Monday has celebrated a new summit and, in her, has ratified the decision of destituir to Valverde and hire to a new technician.
The Barça needs to improve and heave the flight
Finally, the managerial board has chosen to Quique Setién and this has accepted the offer culé, with the will to improve the game of the just team when it arrives the decisive stretch of the season. The aim of Quique Setién will be to attain that the Barça go back to be the sufficiently competitive as to keep the leadership in LaLiga Santander, advance rounds in Champions League and in Glass of Rey.
It pretends recover the spirit, improve the game and offer to the team the necessary tools to go back to heave the flight, without fitting so many goals backwards and showing a greater fluidity in the centre of the field. If it will achieve it or no, we will know it in question of months... And Ernesto Valverde, from this same Monday, will have to see it by the television.
Quique Setién will be the new manager of FC Barcelona. Welcome!
