OFFICIAL: FC Barcelona closes the agreement for the financing of Espai Barça!

The new Spotify Camp Nou will be a reality and from the FC Barcelona have confirmed that, finally, have closed the agreement of finance that will allow that the club initiate this summer the remodeling of his stadium without mortgaging the stadium, as it had approved in the referendum. They will invest 1.450 million euros, between twenty investors, to cover the cost of the works of the Espai Barça.

As it comes informing from does some weeks, the Catalan entity will begin to repagar the mount invested when the stadium was completed, place foresees income of 247 million euros. The amortización will divide in several stretches (the last will finish in 2047). The first will be of 200 million euros to amortise a credit of Goldman Sachs (180 kilos) with which already paid the first works of the stadium, although this information has not been included in the communiqué of the club.

In the writing of the club, has informed , in concrete, that "the FC Barcelona has closed the finance of the Espai Barça as had foreseen, guaranteeing the start of the works of remodeling of the Spotify Camp Nou and fulfilling the criteria approved in the referendum, without guarantee patrimonial of the Club neither mortgage of the Stadium. The Club has closed the finance with a total of 20 investors and by a value that will be of 1.450 million euros, figure that covers the cost of the works of the Espai Barça".

They do reference, likewise, to the method of payment of the loan: "The structure of the finance is with some of the main financial entities of prestige to international level. Has different stretches to 5, 7, 9, 20 and 24 years, and a flexible structure, that has a period of lack. The Club will begin to repagar the operation once the works of the Stadium have finalised, with the income generated by Spotify Camp Nou, that is foreseen that they are of some 247 millions roughly".

In the writing, insist in that the club "follows advancing in his strategic plan and in the development of the project of the Espai Barça, achieving the maximum flexibility to find the best proposals in terms of cost and time. During all the process, the efforts of the members of the Managerial Board and the own teams of the Club have been complemented with partners of reference, as it is the case of Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, JLL, Pérez-Lorca, DLA Piper, Key Main Partners, Legends and IPG 360, among others. The purpose consists in combining the experience and knowledge of the teams and professionals of the Club together with the best practical of the distinct fields associated to the project of the Espai Barça".

Finally, they aimed that "this operation confirms, once again, the credibility of the Club inside the financial markets regarding the project of the Spotify Camp Nou, epicentre of the Espai Barça, an indispensable project to keep to the FC Barcelona in the leadership of the world-wide sport, one of the pillars of the economic recovery and the future feasibility of the Club, and an instrument that allows the continuity of the model of gobernanza, where the more than 146.000 partners and partners of the Club are proprietary".
