FC Barcelona used its various communication channels to disseminate a statement in which it addresses the decision of Eduard Romeu, vice president of the Economic Area, to resign from his position at the Catalan club

The FC Barcelona issued a communiqué oficializando the renunciation of Eduard Romeu, the one who occupied the charge of vice-president of the Economic Area of the club culé from March of 2021. "The Managerial Board has formalised the renunciation of Eduard Romeu like vice-president of the Economic Area of the Club. As it explained on 14 March past, Eduard Romeu communicated his intention to leave his functions in the FC Barcelona to devote fully to his professional work", commented .

Besides, the FC Barcelona took advantage of the opportunity to appreciate the valuable contributions of Eduard Romeu during the period that was in the group of the City Condal. "The Board has wanted to reiterate his gratitude to the one who has been maximum responsible of the finances of the Club during the last three years and has seated the bases for the economic recovery of the entity", signalled.

To close, the combined Barcelona expressed the form in which the executive will follow joined to the Barcelonan institution: "Eduard Romeu will follow linked to the Club through the Foundation Barça and like independent adviser of the BIHUB (Barça Innovation Hub)".
