Pedri 'ranted' against the refereeing in Barça-Osasuna. The Canary Islander saw the foul on Pau Víctor in the second goal and the penalty on Lamine Yamal very clearly

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Saturday 28 September was a bittersweet night for FC Barcelona and Pedri González. The Canary Islander made his debut as captain of the first team after the absences of Marc-André Ter Stegen, Frenkie de Jong and Ronald Araújo due to injury and Raphinha due to a technical decision. However, his happy debut with the Blaugrana armband was not accompanied by the result, as the Catalans left Osasuna with their first defeat of the season (4-2).

At the end of the match, the Barça '8' spoke to the microphones of 'Movistar', where he gave his impressions of the match. "We were not good in the first half, we did not come out well in the match and the second goal penalised us. In the second half we went out more for the match, we deserved something more, but on the counterattack they hurt us," he commented, adding that rotations are not an excuse for the team's defeat in Pamplona. "It is normal that there are rotations, there are many matches, but that is not an excuse," he assured.

Pedri 'slams' the referees

A defeat that, by the way, was not without controversy, far from it. Guillermo Cuadra Fernández's refereeing has generated controversy, since in the action prior to Osasuna's second goal there was a very clear and forceful infraction on Pau Víctor, which was not penalized by the referee. In addition, in the last moments of the match, Lamine Yamal fell inside the red area after a scuffle with Bretones.

The Tenerife player spoke out on the matter, harshly 'hitting' a central referee with whom he even exchanged words on the field. "The 2-0 at half-time penalised us. For me there was a very clear foul on Pau Víctor before that goal and I don't understand why he didn't blow it because we had a goal taken away from us in Vallecas for a similar play. And there was also a clear penalty on Lamine at the end," said Pedri, clearly outraged by the referee's decisions.
