Hansi Flick was satisfied with the physical evolution of Ronald Araújo. The German coach is clear about the work plan to follow with the 'Charrúa' to see him in action soon

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Ronald Araújo has entered the final phase of his recovery in a very good way. The 'Charrúa' has intensified the physical loads in the last two weeks and, for Hansi Flick, his return could represent a real signing for the next month of competition.

According to the coach, the center back is progressing very well in the last few sessions, although he will be taken with caution to avoid any relapse. In that sense, the two weeks of break due to the national team break could be decisive in seeing him back in action.

"He is improving, the intensity in training is increasing, but we will not push him because the injury is considerable. But as I see it, he is on the right path," commented the Barça coach in the press conference prior to Barça-Espanyol.

Flick's roadmap with the return of Araújo

In principle, Ronald could receive a medical discharge before the visit to Celta Vigo, the first game after the break. Barça's schedule in November gives a fairly favorable margin for Rivera's player to add minutes in the final stages of each match, following a plan similar to that of Gavi and Frenkie de Jong.

If everything goes well, Araújo would take advantage of the duels against Celta, Best and Las Palmas (on December 1) to gain momentum. The last month of 2024 will have six more games (one in the Champions League, against Dortmund) where the Barça coach will bet on rotations to close the year on the right foot.

And, with the return of the Uruguayan, Flick will give more rest to the Iñigo-Cubarsí duo, who have been playing everything until now. In principle, the '4' will fight hand in hand with the Basque for a place in the lineup, although the high level of the Ondarroa player could also put Pau in trouble.
