FC Barcelona continues to add high-ranking reinforcements. This time, Dani Olmo has returned to club training, which indicates that his medical discharge is getting closer to happening

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The FC Barcelona is starting to have increasingly better feelings regarding the possibility of once again having several of its key assets back, fully recovered from their respective injuries. In this regard, the Blaugrana team has welcomed back to their training sessions a player who was on the injured list for some time, specifically since September 15th: Dani Olmo.

The Terrassa native, whose physical setback was diagnosed at the time as a hamstring injury in the right thigh, participated in the training session held by the Blaugrana club on Thursday morning. Now, although Dani Olmo only completed part of the workday with his teammates, his definitive return does not seem to be very far off. In fact, according to journalist Adrià Albets, it is expected that the player will receive medical clearance on Sunday to be available for the clash against Sevilla in LaLiga EA Sports.

Furthermore, for the match against Sevilla, it is also expected that Fermín López will receive medical clearance, who has been training since October 14th and already looks fully recovered from his muscle injury in the right anterior rectus, as well as Pablo Gavi, who rejoined the team's training on September 12th and also appears to be fully recovered from his physical setback (complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee and an associated injury in the lateral meniscus), so it would not be surprising if they were called up for the Sevilla game.

Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski also regularly participated in the training session

On the other hand, another notable detail of this training session held at the Joan Gamper Sports City on Thursday morning was the presence of two assets that were thought to be doubtful for the match against Sevilla: Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski. It is worth noting that, for example, the Polish forward had some physical discomfort during the match between Poland and Croatia in the fourth matchday of the UEFA Nations League.

Similarly, the Warsaw native was on the receiving end of a harsh challenge from the Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livaković, who delivered a strong kick to his right leg. Although this blow seemingly caused some pain to the '9', it does not appear to be an impediment for him to play against Sevilla if Hansi Flick decides so.

Regarding Lamine Yamal, he also trained normally in this Thursday's training session, which is a great relief for FC Barcelona, which was uncertain if the Spanish-Moroccan forward would be available after finishing the matchday three encounter of the UEFA Nations League between Spain and Denmark with some physical discomfort.

After various examinations, it was determined that it was a muscular overload whose severity did not allow determining if Lamine Yamal could participate in the match against the Sevillan side. However, seeing him in training gives the impression that he could be perfectly available for the clash against Sevilla if Hansi Flick so requires.

Will Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski be starters in the duel against Sevilla?

Now, another question is whether they will start or not, a situation similar to what Robert Lewandowski and Yamal face, as both could enter a rest regimen for the upcoming club commitments. After the Sevilla match, Barcelona will face Bayern Munich on Wednesday, October 23rd at Montjuïc, in a match valid for matchday three of the UEFA Champions League.

Subsequently, they will have to face Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday, October 26th, in a match valid for matchday 11 of LaLiga EA Sports. These are two very demanding fixtures in which the German coach hopes to be able to count on these players in full form, so it would not be surprising if they choose to give both players some rest.
