After finishing the match against Lithuania last Friday with some discomfort, Robert Lewandowski has reassured Barça by confirming that he is not suffering from any injury

Robert Lewandowski raised alarms at FC Barcelona last Friday. The forward was the standout figure in Poland's victory over Lithuania, but concern skyrocketed around his physical condition after he was forced to leave the pitch at the National Stadium in Warsaw in the 85th minute due to slight discomfort in a calf.

At the end of the match, the player revealed that "I have had some issues for three matches, but today was better. In the end, it was better to let it go, so nothing worsened. I think everything should be fine. I hope it’s not a big problem". Although the player's words called for calm, the reality is that this situation kept the Blaugrana entity on edge, as they cannot afford to lose their top scorer in the decisive stretch of the season.

However, tranquility arrived in the Catalan city last Monday. 'Lewy' came off the bench in the 'eagles' victory over Malta (2-0) as a precaution, which will allow him to rejoin the Blaugrana first team much fresher and rested. Additionally, he sent a reassuring message to Barça and the fans, revealing that he is not suffering from any injury.

Lewandowski 'calms the waters' with a message about his physical condition

"There is no injury, sometimes something hurts for two or three days, sometimes it goes away. Everything was fine, today I entered without any problem. I feel much better than before the concentration, because I had some discomfort in the last three matches, for example, the fact that I couldn't kick with my right leg even once, even during warm-ups," the forward began to say.

"Now everything has returned to normal, so it’s an advantage that I have regained the physical form I had two or three weeks ago," he added, later clarifying that his absence as a starter was not an agreement with the club, a speculation that had provoked some criticism in his country. "I haven't even spoken to anyone at Barcelona about that," Lewandowski simply stated.

Finally, Robert assured that "I prepared for the end of the season to maintain that freshness. I knew this season would be different from usual, because in January there was the Champions League and then the playoffs. I'm not going to lie. Somewhere in my head, I thought about giving it my all during these last two, two and a half months and maintaining this freshness and dynamic".

Now, after his participation with Poland, Lewandowski will return to the Catalan city and will be one of the internationals from Barça who will have less than 72 hours of rest for the league match on Thursday against Osasuna, although his substitution in Monday's match avoided greater physical wear.
