Robert Lewandowski scored a brace against Girona. The Pole has been involved in 45 goals this season, with a tally of 38 goals and 3 assists in 42 matches
The FC Barcelona thrashed Girona this Sunday at Montjuïc (4-1) in another memorable afternoon for Robert Lewandowski. The Pole scored a brace to reach 38 goals in 42 matches across all competitions and, in addition to continuing to increase his lead over Kylian Mbappé in the race for the Pichichi, he became the second player in Spanish football with 40 or more direct goal contributions this season.
In total, the scorer has accumulated 38 goals and 3 assists in 42 matches, in what is by far his best season since arriving in the Catalan capital. These 38 goals are distributed across LaLiga (25), Champions League (9), Supercopa de España (1), and Copa del Rey (3), while his assists are split between the league (2) and the Supercopa (1), far surpassing his records in his first two seasons as a Barça player.
'Lewy' is the second player with the most goal contributions for Barça and in Spain (41), only behind Raphinha, who, with 27 goals and 18 assists, has an astonishing total of 45 generated goals. Both stars are followed by Lamine Yamal, whose production stands at 13 goals and 17 assists (30). Numbers from another planet for a trio that night after night solidifies as the most lethal in the world.

Lewandowski surpasses 40 goals for the first time since 2022
Lewandowski, for his part, continues to improve his records with Barça, where he scored 33 (22-23) and 26 (23-24) goals in his first two seasons, respectively. Before landing in Catalonia, the Pole scored 55, 48, and 50 goals in his last three seasons with Bayern Munich, with the 55 in 2019-20 being his historical peak as a professional.
With Barça, he has scored 97 goals in 137 official matches, averaging 0.70 goals per game. At Borussia Dortmund, his scoring average was 0.55 (103 goals in 187 matches), while in Bavaria he reached an impressive 0.91, with 344 goals in 375 appearances.

Lewandowski continues to climb the Barça scoring table
With the 38 goals he has scored so far this season, Lewandowski has accumulated 97 in the 137 matches he has played as a Barça player since arriving in the Catalan capital in the summer of 2022. A figure that allows him to continue writing his legend at Camp Nou, as he has already surpassed a couple of legends like Ronaldinho and Bakero in the twentieth position of the club's all-time scoring ranking.
The brace scored against Girona also brings him closer to other legends like Pedro (99), Asensi (101), and Neymar (105) and leaves him just three goals away from reaching the century with Barça, a milestone that he will almost certainly achieve in the coming weeks if he maintains his brutal scoring pace.
Once he surpasses this mark, 'Lewy' would aim to enter the list of the club's top ten scorers. The tenth place is occupied by Escolà with 120 goals, while Rexach is ninth with 122, the same as Kluivert. Numbers that, as of today, are more than reachable for a Robert who is 'aging' like fine wine.
