GOOD NEWS FOR BARÇA WOMEN
Salma Paralluelo, back at FC Barcelona for the Champions League
After four months out, Salma Paralluelo returns to the squad for the first time this season
Salma Paralluelo is available again for FC Barcelona, making the squad for the UEFA Women’s Champions League match against Hammarby. The match will be played this Thursday at 21:00 at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, corresponding to the fifth day of the group stage.
The forward returns tomorrow after four months out due to muscular problems, derived from accumulated loads after the Olympic Games. The club's medical team has treated her recovery with caution, allowing her to gradually return to training. Her last official participation was on August 9, in the match for the Olympic bronze medal where Spain lost 0-1 to Germany. With Barça, her last match was on June 9, when she scored two goals in the 5-1 victory over Real Betis in the Liga F.
Kika Nazareth also returns
Another good news for the Blaugrana team is the return of Kika Nazareth. The Portuguese has recovered from a muscle bruise she suffered during her last international call-up. After missing only the match against Betis, Nazareth is ready to be another option in the plans of coach Pere Romeu.
Important absences
Barça will be without Alexia Putellas, Martina Fernández and Vicky López, all absent due to various injuries. No player from the reserve team will travel either, reinforcing confidence in the core of the first team.
Barça, second in Group D, is looking for a victory that will allow it to continue to put pressure on Manchester City and keep its fight for first place alive.
