The FC Barcelona squad celebrated Alejandro Balde's birthday this Friday. The full-back turned 21 and received a nice surprise from his teammates

Alejandro Balde turned 21 this Friday and celebrated with the FC Barcelona squad at the Ciutat Esportiva. The team worked hard in the first training session of the week for Hansi Flick with all the players available to prepare for Sunday's game against Sevilla (9:00 p.m. CEST), but had time to entertain the birthday boy of the day.

The celebrations were led by Lamine Yamal, who shared through Instagram stories his congratulations to the Barça defender, with whom he has shared from the club's youth ranks. "Happy birthday, my brother," wrote the '19' culé in a video where he presents the birthday cake to the defender. Ansu Fati, one of the closest to the '3', did the same.

Like Lamine, the '10' dedicated a nice message to Álex on Instagram stories, posting an image of both during training on Friday. Another who took advantage of the day to congratulate the Catalan defender was Marc Casadó. "Congratulations, brother," the midfielder wrote on his Instagram account. Balde hopes to celebrate his new anniversary with a victory on Sunday in what will possibly be his 90th official match with the first team.

Balde celebrated a new birthday at the club of his life

For Alejandro, Barça has been everything since his beginnings in football. The '3' was promoted to Cadet A in 2018 and made his official debut with the first team under Xavi Hernández, on August 21, 2022 in the win against Real Sociedad (1-4). That season he managed to seat Jordi Alba, who ended up leaving for Inter Miami in the summer of 2023. In total, Balde has 89 games (2 goals and 8 assists) with Barça, in addition to 2 titles in his record (League and Spanish Super Cup ).
