The Barça still has not given the last word on the Superliga

The world of the football has kept in vilo after in the last hours have done official the creation of a Superliga European between the twelve clubs signatories of the agreement, with the FC Barcelona like one of them. However, the Barcelona entity still has to step more to integrate to the project that could revolutionise the balompié such as it is known nowadays.

Before making public his resignation like president of the Barça, Josep Maria Bartomeu, left clear that the Superliga was already an irreversible fact: "The board of the entity approved yesterday the necessary requests to participate in this competition, that would suppose a revolution in the format of the international competitions".

Nevertheless, it indicated that it will be precise that the subject arrive to other instances so that the Barcelona team can contest the tournament of official way, once that has subjected the motion "to disposal of the new together entrante". In his opinion, the tournament "will guarantee the economic sustainability of the club".

Bartomeu announced a new financial model

Before separating of the charge, the now ex president required that the flow of resources of the institution will suffer substantial changes with the entrance in the Superliga European, that for then was foreseen for 2022: "it will change, of extraordinary way, the perspectives of income of the club for the next year".

In a critical context for the clubs in Europe, Bartomeu added to the initiative of those who see the change of model like something necessary: "The Superliga European of clubs will guarantee the economic sustainability of the club and that continue being of the partners; never a sportive society, never".
