Hansi Flick's Barça ended a 24-game unbeaten streak in Dortmund (3-1), which was their best start to the year in history. Goals, records and key moments!

Calendar of FC Barcelona

In the world of sports, as in life itself, nothing is eternal. In Dortmund (3-1), FC Barcelona put an end to the monstrous streak of 24 games without losing this 2025. A streak in which Hansi Flcik's team dispatched their matches by hook or by crook, with 20 victories and only 4 draws, in addition to 12 thrashings.

In three and a half months, Barça signed the best start to the year in its history, with a total of 73 goals scored (2.92 per game) and 24 conceded. In La Liga, there were 10 wins and 2 draws, while in the Champions League the balance was 4 wins and 1 draw.

In the Copa del Rey, there were another 4 games won and 1 draw, while the other 2 victories came in the Spanish Super Cup. Only Getafe (1-1), Atalanta (2-2), Atlético (4-4) and Betis (1-1) managed to avoid a defeat against the 'culés' between January and April.

Barça's most lethal unbeaten run: 12 thrashings in 24 games

Barça closed 2024 with an unfair defeat at home against Atlético (1-2) on matchday 18 of LaLiga. After that, 115 days passed before the 'culés' fell again in an official match. In that period, Flick's team achieved 12 thrashings.

In Europe, the Catalan team added two big victories (4-5 against Benfica, 4-0 against Dortmund). Another three thrashings came in the Copa del Rey, against Barbastro (0-4), Betis (5-1) and Valencia (0-5), while in the Spanish Super Cup there was also a 'manita' against Real Madrid (2-5) in the final.

And, in La Liga, Valencia (7-1), Sevilla (1-4), Real Sociedad (4-0), Atlético (2-4), Osasuna (3-0) and Girona (4-1) also suffered the lethality of the 'azulgrana' offense. The last thrashing of the streak, against Borussia, was crucial to advance to the 'semis' of the Champions League.

Luckily, the result of the return leg was totally anecdotal, since it was a defeat with a big prize, as it meant qualification for the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Now, Barcelona has 8 La Liga matchdays left to play, along with the Copa del Rey final and the Champions League semi-finals. In that sense, Flick's team is going for another triumphant streak, the most important of the season, in the final stretch of a campaign that keeps alive the illusion of the third treble in 'azulgrana' history.

In La Liga, Barça has a four and seven point advantage over Real Madrid and Atlético, respectively. In addition, the 'culés' have an extra point in their favor thanks to the advantage in the direct confrontation and the goal difference over both.

In the Copa del Rey, everything is set for a new victory against the 'Casa Blanca', the third of the season, after two thrashings in La Liga and the Super Cup. For the moment, the partial score in Clásicos is 9-2 favorable to the Catalans.

And, in the Champions League, Inter Milan or Bayern Munich will be the next rival of the 'culés' for the pass to the final in Munich. Barça broke a six-year streak without reaching the semi-finals and is going for its first final in a decade.
