FC Barcelona has used its official communication channels to share details about the progress of the works on its iconic stadium, the Spotify Camp Nou. It is worth remembering that, recently, it was reported that the Azulgrana team aims to return to their traditional home in September 2025, coinciding with the start of the 2025-26 season. However, this return is conditional on obtaining the necessary use and safety licenses from the competent authorities.
Unpublished images of the future Spotify Camp Nou
The Catalan team has surprised its fans by releasing images created using graphic design and artificial intelligence, showing what the new Spotify Camp Nou will look like once the works are completed. These 'renders', which stand out for their level of detail, allow us to glimpse what a first-class stadium will be like in all possible aspects.
In the images, the main grandstand can be seen mainly, both in its empty and full of public version. Likewise, the 'renders' include detailed scenes of what could be a match, with players such as Lewandowski, Raphinha, Alejandro Balde, Frenkie de Jong and Jules Koundé on the field. There are also evidences of moments prior to a commitment, such as footballers warming up on the field.
Progress in the installation of infrastructure and VIP seats
Regarding the progress of the works at the Spotify Camp Nou, Barcelona has confirmed that the drainage, ventilation, air conditioning and heating installations have already been completed. The new phase to be executed includes the planting of the lawn, which will begin next week.
In turn, the Barcelona club has pointed out that the reforms in the third tier and its access cores continue to advance. Temporary 360° scaffolding has also begun to be installed, which will house the necessary facilities until the new roof of the stadium, known as Big Lift, is finished. The facilities being implemented include lighting, Wi-Fi connectivity, cameras and other crucial systems for match days.
Another important progress is the installation of VIP seats in the first tier, with those in the second tier ready to be installed soon. These VIP seats will be available for the partial return to the Spotify Camp Nou.
More than 3,500 operators working on the transformation of the stadium
The stadium transformation process is in full swing, with more than 3,500 operators involved in the works. This effort follows the agreement reached with the Barcelona City Council, which allows the works to be carried out without interruptions from Monday to Friday, with extended hours until 11:59 p.m. On Saturdays, the hours are maintained between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., without affecting the area of the old Miniestadi, where the treatment plant is located.
