News about the progress of the Spotify Camp Nou works keeps coming. Fortunately, for FC Barcelona and its fans, eager to see their team back home, they are all positive.

Recently, a fundamental progress has been disclosed that reinforces the idea of ​​an early return to the azulgrana stronghold, scheduled for the month of September 2025, well into the 2025-26 season. This return, yes, will be subject to obtaining all the licenses for use and security by the authorities.

The planting of the new grass begins in the culé temple

In the last hours, images were released showing the beginning of the planting of the new grass in the culé stadium. A step that was a matter of time, since the club had announced that the key actions for its installation had been completed: drainage, ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems.

The Lateral zone, the first sector intervened

The area chosen to start with the placement of the first grass sods, which have arrived in several trucks to the site, has been the Lateral zone, as can be seen in several photographs that circulated on social networks.

While the grass is being planted, work also continues on the area of ​​the future third tier. Likewise, the 360° temporary scaffolding is being installed, which is essential to house the lighting, connectivity, cameras and other technological equipment, until the new roof of the stadium is completed: the so-called 'Big Lift'.

More than 3,500 operators work tirelessly

Currently, more than 3,500 operators are involved in the works of the new stadium. The progress continues in accordance with the agreement with the Barcelona City Council, in force until April 30, which allows working continuously from Monday at 8:00 a.m. to Friday at 11:59 p.m. On Saturdays, the works are maintained in the usual hours, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., although without using the treatment plant in the area of ​​the old Miniestadi.
