Will Betis manage to come out unscathed from their visit to Barcelona?

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The FC Barcelona will face a tough challenge this Saturday, April 5, at 21:00 (CET), when they host the Real Betis of Manuel Pellegrini at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. The Andalusians are going through a hopeful moment for their fans, thanks to a stellar streak that the azulgrana team will try to cut.

Indeed, the 'verdiblanco' team has accumulated an impressive series of victories in LaLiga EA Sports 24-25. Real Betis has six consecutive wins in the domestic tournament, positioning themselves as one of the most in-form teams in the championship, alongside Barcelona.

The team from Benito Villamarín, currently sixth in the table with 47 points, started this streak on February 16 with a resounding 3-0 victory against Real Sociedad. From there, Pellegrini's boys chained positive results against Getafe CF (1-2, 02/23), Real Madrid (2-1, 03/01), UD Las Palmas (1-0, 03/09), CD Leganés (2-3, 03/16), and finally, Sevilla in the Andalusian derby (2-1, 03/30).

This fact does not go unnoticed, as it is not the first time Real Betis has achieved six consecutive victories in LaLiga, a feat they have accomplished on three previous occasions: in 1934, 1960, and more recently in 2018. However, they have never reached a seventh consecutive win, so the match against Barcelona could represent a historic opportunity for the 'verdiblancos'.

Barça also has a good streak to maintain

On their part, FC Barcelona also arrives with a streak to protect. Hansi Flick's team has accumulated 21 consecutive matches without losing and has yet to know defeat in 2025 (18 wins and three draws). A win or draw against Real Betis would equal the best start of the year for the Barcelona team under the management of Luis Enrique, achieved in 2016.
