Hansi Flick shares his vision for the future of FC Barcelona and his desire to win more titles
The coach of FC Barcelona, Hansi Flick, held a press conference to 'warm up' the preview of the crucial second leg of the 'semis' of the Copa del Rey against Atlético de Madrid. In his appearance, the man from Heidelberg did not hesitate to boast about the current state of the azulgrana team, launching an important message: ¡He is hungry to win titles!
"We are proud of this team. It is not by luck that we have come this far: we deserve it. Also, I want to thank everyone for their work. In every situation, they give the right response. We have won the Super Cup but that is in the past. We want to reach the final, but it won’t be easy," emphasized Flick.

Barcelona is prepared for extra time if the match requires it
Speaking about the match against Atlético de Madrid, Hansi did not hesitate to point out that the azulgrana team is prepared to resolve the confrontation in regular time, but does not rule out having to go to extra time. "We focus on the 90 minutes, but if there are 120 or penalties, we have to be ready. If you make mistakes against Atlético, they know how to take advantage of them. But I’m not thinking about whether there will be extra time," he warned.

Furthermore, the German coach revealed that, although there is a possibility that Barcelona may be involved in a penalty shootout, the culé team has not placed special emphasis on their preparation for this situation. "It’s always like this. At the end of training, some players stay to take penalties. We haven’t done anything special: we always manage it the same way. There’s nothing special," he stressed.
Additionally, Flick showed great caution regarding the plan to compensate for the absence of Dani Olmo and regarding the expectations for the player who will be selected to take his place. "It’s always the same: we have to find the player who knows how to defend because we have to defend from the front, also offensively. We have several options and I trust all the players we have, so you know: we’ll see," he added.
Flick and the hunger for titles
Finally, the German coach avoided getting involved in controversies and refrained from delving into the fact that certain sectors do not recognize FC Barcelona as the best team currently, also avoiding any comparisons with Real Madrid. "I think it can be seen that we play well, the fans see it too. I don’t think there’s a need to compare with Real Madrid. You would like me to say something, but I won’t. Madrid is a great team with a great coach and so is Atlético. At the end of the season, we will see how it all ends. I have that hunger to win titles and we are going to give it our all", he concluded.
