FC Barcelona continues to work on remodelling the new Spotify Camp Nou. They have revealed computer-generated images of what the stadium will look like, which will include an aerial viewing platform

The desire to enjoy the new Spotify Camp Nou increases every day. The stadium promises to continue to be a source of pride for the culés with its extraordinary renovations, whose works continue at a steady pace with the aim of playing matches before the end of the year, although with a reduced capacity of 60,000 spectators.

A nice surprise received the fans of the Blaugrana club on August 20, when FC Barcelona revealed virtual images on its social networks of what the stadium will look like inside. The design has a spectacular roof for fans, members and followers of the team, so that when they attend the stadium they are comfortable and protected.

The novelties of the new Camp Nou

The Barça color will dominate the stadium that will not only be a sports venue, but will also be able to host other types of events. This will help Barça generate greater income thanks to the businesses that are carried out within the Estadi. The recreations make it clear that we can expect a top-quality venue, so we can say that the wait is worth it. For now, we will continue playing at the Lluís Companys stadium in Montjuic.

The big news that has been confirmed is that the stadium will have an aerial viewing platform, which fans will have access to in order to contemplate the venue from the top, above the roof of the Camp Nou. It is estimated that this update will be ready for January. They have something similar in England at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a viewing platform inaugurated in 2019 where fans can enjoy their club from another point of view.

Updates on the renovations

A few days ago it was announced that the lower floors are already concreted, around 70% of the pillars and beams of the structure are already in place and several areas of the stadium are ready waiting for the formwork panels to be placed for the subsequent concreting process. The first part of the stands has also been installed and the gaps between the first and second tiers of the stands are being closed. So everything seems to be going 'smoothly'.

However, it is important to remember that, although the stadium will start receiving fans this season, the works will continue inside and outside the facilities. Therefore, Barcelona and Limak plan for the 2026/27 season to start with the Camp Nou completely finished. By then, it will be able to receive 104,600 people. According to 'Sport', the new facilities could generate 346 million euros per season. If this scenario comes to fruition, the Barça club could considerably improve its financial situation.
