The Royal Spanish Football Federation has issued a report that could be key in the case of the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. What does this say? We tell you at FCBN
Good news for FC Barcelona. The Blaugrana team is beginning to see how the situation regarding the reinscription of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor is gradually becoming clearer. Recently, it has been revealed that the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), an entity that a few days ago issued a joint statement with LaLiga opposing any scenario for granting the prior visa or final license to the two Barça players, has issued a new favorable report towards the Catalan club regarding this matter.
As reported by journalist Marta Ramón on 'RAC1', sources from the Federation explain that the articles of the regulations may not align with the situation of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. It is important to remember that the legal provisions referred to are articles 130.2 and 141.5 of the General Regulations of the RFEF, whose literal interpretation prevents a player whose license is revoked from obtaining a license in the same team or club to which they were already linked within the same season.
According to this information, the Federation is clear that the rule was created for players who were going to disengage and in other circumstances,, but the case of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor presents another level of complexity. In fact, the regulations are being reviewed and changes may be made in the future to prevent other players from being affected.
Barcelona can present the report from the RFEF to the CSD
In any case, this report from the RFEF is a positive development for Barcelona,, which can present it to the Higher Sports Council (CSD), to which it will appeal on Tuesday against the decision of the federation and LaLiga, and request a provisional measure to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.
Now we will have to see how this case unfolds, as the expedited procedure should have a quicker response than the precautionary measure. In the former case, the CSD could make a decision within three or four days, whereas with the latter, the response could take around 15 days.
Regardless of the circumstances, this is a very exceptional measure,, reserved for very serious situations. However, it seems highly unlikely that Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor will be able to play against Athletic Club on Wednesday, even though they have traveled with the Barça expedition to participate in this important tournament. Will they manage to get registered in time?
