FC Barcelona are looking to get back to their good form this Sunday, September 22, against Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica. The match corresponding to the 6th round of LaLiga EA Sports is key for the Blaugranas, who hope to maintain their perfect run in the local competition with their sixth consecutive victory and increase their difference with respect to their immediate pursuers in the league table.

In the run-up to the match, and after nearly 40 minutes of video and gym, the first team squad took to the pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper this Saturday morning in the last training session before travelling to the Valencian Community. The German coach had almost all of the first team available, including Frenkie de Jong and Gavi, although two absences raised alarm bells in Barcelona.

Neither Pedri nor Marc Casadó were part of the session on September 21. Both midfielders, who had to work hard in Monaco, ended up with injuries in the match at the Louis II, but, a priori, they are two minor injuries and their presence in Villarreal is not in danger, as reported by 'SPORT'.

Flick turned off the 'alarms' with Pedri and Casadó

This was confirmed by Hansi Flick during the press conference prior to the match against Marcelino García Toral's team. The German assured that "Marc had some pain yesterday afternoon, today he felt better and I think he will play, just like Pedri. We have looked after them today and I hope they are 100% tomorrow", so his starting position is practically confirmed. The Barça players have been summoned at 10 for an activation session and after eleven in the morning they will fly to Castellón, where they will meet at the Hotel Luz.
