Lamine Yamal is already wearing the colors of the upcoming alternative jersey of FC Barcelona. The player from Mataró was one of the first players, along with Pedri and Gavi, to showcase what will be the second culé outfit for the 2025/26 season. Unlike this season, the kit will have a much more striking color and will be part of an exclusive Nike collection that pays tribute to Kobe Bryant.

The design, leaked by the social media account '@memorabilia1899', stands out for a pale ochre color with black and purple details on the collar and sleeves, the traditional colors of the Los Angeles Lakers, the flagship team of the basketball legend, who passed away in a helicopter crash in January 2020. Additionally, the jersey will feature the logo of the 'Black Mamba' line, called 'sheath'.

Barça takes a leap in marketing its jersey

This symbol replaces the traditional 'swoosh' of the American multinational, while the Barça crest and the other sponsors on the jersey will be in black. The culé crest will actually have dark brown-gray tones to differentiate the details, just like the shorts. Initially, the kit is expected to be ready for sale starting the first week of July 2025.

In this way, Barça emulates Paris Saint-Germain by launching an exclusive collection in collaboration with a basketball star. The French club has done the same since 2018 with their third kit featuring the 'jumpman' logo that distinguishes the 'Air Jordan' collection, the main brand of basketball star Michael Jordan with the swoosh brand.

In the case of the second culé jersey for the 2025/26 season, it will be part of the 'Mamba Collection', an exclusive collection dedicated to Kobe Bryant. With this, the club hopes to make a leap in the marketing of its jersey, as agreed in the new contract signed with Nike a couple of weeks ago. The sponsorship agreement is the highest signed by Barça and promises to bring in many millions to the culé coffers.
