FC Barcelona finalized this week the sale of the exploitation rights of the VIP boxes at Spotify Camp Nou for the next 20 years. However, the club will continue to manage the sale of these seats
Contrary to what many believe, the sale of the VIP boxes at the new Spotify Camp Nou does not mean mortgaging future income due to the urgency of registering Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. FC Barcelona will continue to control the sale of these seats, although its two new partners from Qatar and Dubai will receive significant income from their exploitation rights over the next 20 years.
Barça will earn around €100 million from this agreement. 40% is already in the club's accounts, according to the documentation that the board sent this Friday to LaLiga. In principle, the operation will be enough for the culés to finally return to the 1:1 rule starting from this transfer window, a goal that the club has pursued since last summer.
The extra money that Barça will receive from the VIP boxes
In principle, the club expects to earn around €25,000 per season for the subscription of each seat in the new VIP box of the Estadi. This area must be fully operational for the next season, although the works in the culé temple will extend until the 2026/27 season. So far, no further details are known about the number of seats or the exploitation rights acquired by the new culé partners.
However, Joan Laporta will present the breakdown of the figures and the details of the agreement at the next assembly of delegates, as was done with the renewal with Nike. The new Camp Nou will have 115 VIP boxes, which include 95 Boxes and 20 Very VIP Suites (the most exclusive premium areas). 62 of the boxes are reserved for companies and the club's projections point to annual earnings of around €80 million from their exploitation.
