This think the candidates on the future of the Espai Barça

The three candidates course to the presidency of the FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, Víctor Font and Toni Freixa, saw the faces for the first time, in the frame of the World-wide Congress of Crags of 2021, in an institutional debate organised by the club. East was the first of the three that they will be developed this week in the straight final of the electoral campaign for the celebration of the elections of the next Sunday 7 March.

One of the subjects that was put on the table of discussion was the 'Espai Barça'. The three protagonists coincided that it is menester that produce a renewal of the current installations, but contemplate distinct way to execute the project that already is under way, mainly by his vision of order of priorities.

Laporta, in favour of the study of the cost of finance

"The architectural project already is under way. It is necessary to know the cost. The agreement, conceptually, is not badly, but is important how will fund it. Will have to study very thorough because this agreement is slope to be approved by the assembly. Our will is to throw forward the Espai Barça. Has to know which will be the cost and how will pay it", exposed the ex president of the Barcelona institution.

"The truth is that if it does by phases will be much more expensive and much longer, in six or seven years. This project is the most emblematic of the club, and have to do it very well. We will try to follow playing in the stadium, and when we do the cover, will not be able to go to the stadium during a time. And this has to explain . We bet by the telematic referendums", explained Laporta.

Freixa, bet for executing it immediately

"I formed part of the managerial board that in the year 2012 studied what did is missing to do with the stadium. It has worked a lot and very well. The project already has begun and have the plan of financiamiento. We can not lose more time. The Barça has to execute this project already. "In the referendum of 2014 was the one who more explained the project in Catalonia. The partners of the first gradería will have a better place that the one who have in the actuality. The project that the Barça has worked and that the partners have voted is ready to execute it", sentenced the lawyer.

Font Proposes referendum to decide democratically

"We want to reaprovechar the good things that have done , but with knowledge, and that the decision take between all. From this time on until the summer have a team with two urbanistas, two architects and two professionals of the finance. We want to come to final of season and explain of transparent form which is this new house. We will do a referendum with electronic vote, the first of the history of the Barça, so that we can begin the works the sooner possible. Have a plan and can not lose neither a minute", aseveró Font.
