FC Barcelona could go after one of the 'gems' of Corinthians in 2025. This is Breno Bidon, a 19-year-old midfielder who shone last season in the Brasileirao

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Breno Bidon was one of the sensations of last season's Brasileirao when it comes to midfielders. The 19-year-old player earned a starting position at Corinthians thanks to his skill with the ball and his ability to alternate between the defensive pivot role and the left interior position. This has led FC Barcelona to take notice of him, being one of Deco's recommendations to the club's board.

The sporting director became interested in the Sao Paulo native at the beginning of 2024, when the midfielder lifted the 'Copinha' with his team in the classic Paulista against Cruzeiro. Although he still has much to improve physically, the talent of the '27' from 'Timao' has caught the attention of several big clubs in Europe, in addition to the affordability of his asking price.

Barça would go for Breno Bidon with the intention of strengthening the B team

In 2024, Bidon played a total of 53 matches with Corinthians, scoring a couple of goals and providing 4 assists in 3,348 minutes of action with the team where former culé Memphis Depay also played this year. The 19-year-old player is under contract until 2028 and could arrive for a price below 10 million euros, including variables. For now, the player is valued at 8 'kilos' on Transfermarkt.

However, the azulgrana team would only sign him with the intention of reinforcing the Barça Atlètic, as the first team faces tough competition in midfield, both in recovery and in playmaking. The Sao Paulo native will turn 20 in February, so he will have no issues playing in Europe. In that sense, Deco would have the operation well underway, as long as the board has the necessary financial solvency to sign under the 1/1 rule, a key objective for the club in 2025.
