Barça is close to entering the 1/1 rule. The club will negotiate the sale of VIP seats for the next 20 years and expect to receive 200 million euros
FC Barcelona is very close to resolving its priority folder. The Catalans are finalising negotiations for the sale of VIP seats at the Spotify Camp Nou for the next 20 years, which will mean an immediate income of 200 million euros and will allow them to enter the 1/1 rule, a definitive step to be able to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor in the winter market.
The Blaugranas studied different alternatives to solve their problems with financial fair play, among which the new contract with Nike stood out, an agreement that was made official a couple of weeks ago, or the search for new partners for Barça Vision.
However, the appearance of this model previously applied by clubs such as Real Madrid has been the best way to put an end to the salary cap inconveniences. The Blaugranas will sell a limited number of seats with special services for a minimum period of 20 years in exchange for 200 million euros, an operation that has already received the green light from the board and only the deal with the buyer is needed, with several companies very interested in acquiring the entire package immediately.
Barça will be able to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor in January
At Can Barça they have already informed LaLiga of this new lever and it will be validated without problems, so it is a matter of days before the club returns to the 1/1 rule. The forecast is that everything will be resolved before January 18, the date on which Hansi Flick's team returns to play in the league championship.
With this new agreement, the Blaugranas will not only be able to finalize the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor in January, but they will also be able to deal with other operations such as the renewals of Gavi and Pedri or, even, the arrival of some reinforcement if they consider it necessary.
In addition, the sale of the VIP seats, together with the signing of the new contract with Nike, will give the club the financial muscle necessary to take on a big signing next summer, although the idea of the Blaugrana leadership is to be cautious with the club's finances as far as possible. However, names such as Rafael Leao, Florian Wirtz and Viktor Gyökeres will continue to hover over Barcelona in the coming months.
