Marcus Rashford's future seems increasingly distant from Manchester United. In England, various media outlets point to the winger's desire to play for FC Barcelona in 2025
Marcus Rashford has already decided which team he wants to play for in 2025 if, ultimately, his cycle at Manchester United comes to an end after nine seasons with the first team. Initially, the '10' prefers to wait for an offer from FC Barcelona, although the options for the Catalan team to sign him are, at this point, quite limited, both due to the value of his contract and the market plans of the 'red devils'.
This season, the 27-year-old player has scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in 24 matches (1,500 minutes) with 'Man U'. Although his prominence has significantly decreased since Rúben Amorim took over the managerial position at Old Trafford, the forward maintains interesting stats that keep him on the radar of several top clubs, including a Barça that prioritizes signing a left winger next summer.
The United, determined to resolve the 'Rashford case' in January
However, United's plans point in another direction. According to the Italian newspaper 'Tuttosport', the 'red devils' have attempted, without success so far, to send the '10' to Juventus in the upcoming winter market, an option that does not entirely convince coach Thiago Motta. On the contrary, the 'bianconeri' are leaning more towards Joshua Zirkzee, who has already scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in 26 matches (1,029 minutes) this season.
For now, in Manchester, they are not considering the departure of the Dutch forward, while with Rashford, the ideal scenario would be to negotiate a transfer around 50 million euros. Alternatively, the club is looking for a loan that could offset a good portion of the nearly 18 'kilos' that the English international earns per season. Both scenarios are difficult for a Barça that, looking ahead to 2025, may still face serious issues in signing players.
