Vicky López will miss the final stretch of the year with Barça due to injury

The young promise of FC Barcelona, Vicky López, will be sidelined from the pitch for the next few weeks after suffering a strain in the medial collateral ligament of her right knee. The injury occurred during the recent international break, in the match between Spain and South Korea, which ended with a 5-0 scoreline. According to the medical statement issued by Barça, the estimated recovery time is between two and three weeks.

This absence means that López will not be able to participate in the upcoming fixtures for the Blaugrana against Betis and Valencia, nor in the Champions League match against Hammarby. The big question will be whether she can recover in time for the final matchday of the group stage, in which Barça will face Manchester City on December 18th at the Olympic Stadium, an important game to determine if the Blaugranas finish as leaders of Group D.
