FC Barcelona could play up to 5 matches in just 13 days after the break. Discover the tough schedule that awaits Hansi Flick's team!
The March international break marks the first official pause for FC Barcelona in 2025. In total, 11 players from the Blaugrana squad will travel with their national teams, five of them with Spain for the quarter-finals of the Nations League against the Netherlands. In this regard, the concern at Can Barça is at its highest, especially considering the tough schedule that awaits the team starting next week.
The controversial scheduling of the postponed match against Osasuna, corresponding to matchday 27 of LaLiga, for Thursday, March 27, forces Hansi Flick's team to play a total of 5 matches in just 13 days, including the return leg of the semi-finals of the Cup against Atlético de Madrid (Wednesday, April 2) and the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund (one week later).
Girona and Betis, the next two league rivals
Awaiting LaLiga's final decision regarding the match against Osasuna, Barça must host Girona at Montjuïc on Sunday, March 30 (16:15), for matchday 29 of the Spanish championship. The Blaugrana team will recover all their internationals, except for the injured Iñigo Martínez and Marc Casadó, the latter ruled out for the rest of the season.

Girona already fell to Barcelona in the first round at Montilivi (1-4) and is far from the level they showed last season. However, they remain a team to be wary of, as in their last two visits to the Catalans, they managed to secure a draw (0-0) and a victory (2-4), both matches played in 2023.
In the next league match, matchday 30, Flick's team will host Betis on Saturday, April 9 (21:00), one of the rivals that, in the first round, managed to take points from the Catalans (2-2 at Benito Villamarín). The 'verdiblancos' went into the break in great form, with five consecutive victories, one of them against Real Madrid (2-1).

Atlético and Dortmund will seek revenge against Barça after the break
In the midst of the matches against Girona and Betis, Barça must return to the Metropolitano for the return leg of the Cup semi-finals against Atleti. The 'colchoneros' will seek revenge for the tough 2-4 suffered in the last league match, a defeat that left them very behind in the title race and completed a week to forget in which they were also eliminated from the Champions League by Real Madrid.
The Atlético-Barça match will be played on Wednesday, April 2 (21:30), one day after the Real Madrid-Real Sociedad match that will determine the first finalist. The 'merengues' arrive as clear favorites after the 0-1 obtained in the first leg in San Sebastián. Four days later, the Blaugrana team will return to the Champions League, on Wednesday, April 9 at Montjuïc (21:00).
Hansi Flick's team will play the first leg of the quarter-finals against Borussia Dortmund at home, a rival that the Catalans already defeated in Germany in the league phase (2-3). Niko Kovac's team comes from eliminating Lille (3-2 on aggregate) and is betting everything on the Champions League, as they find themselves mid-table in the Bundesliga (11th).
