Officially, Marc Bernal has been discharged, so this Wednesday morning he was able to leave the Hospital de Barcelona, where he had been admitted for the past two days. It is worth noting that the Berga native underwent surgery on Monday, September 9th, for a surgical procedure to correct the anterior cruciate ligament and external meniscus tear in his left knee, a procedure carried out by Dr. Joan Carles Monllau.
The talented midfielder left the Hospital de Barcelona accompanied by his parents. Likewise, as is common in these cases, he was seen struggling to properly support the affected leg (left), so he had to leave the medical center using crutches.
Before boarding the vehicle that would take him away from the Barcelona hospital facilities, Marc Bernal had the opportunity to briefly thank the support he has received during these challenging times. "Thank you very much to everyone," said the La Masia product.
It is worth highlighting that this was the midfielder's first statement after his surgery. Previously, he had only communicated through his social media expressing an emotional message: "One day less to enjoy what I love the most. Thank you for your support," he wrote on his Instagram account (@marcbernal_).

As a result, Marc Bernal will have to face an extensive recovery process that will keep him out of the fields for no less than 12 months, so his return to the Azulgrana institution is not expected until the start of the 2025/26 season.
