The official position of Barça before the strike of women's football

The fault of agreement between all the agents involved in the approval of the Collective Agreement of the feminine football has caused that it keep the strike of the next day, something that the FC Barcelona wants to avoid offering to participate in the process of mediation of the Ministry of Work to finish avoiding it.

The FC Barcelona has issued this Friday in the morning an official communiqué to expose his posture. "After the negotiations of the last days, the Club has accepted to participate in the process of mediation of the Ministry of Work because it understands that it is the way to guarantee the minimum rights that deserve all the women professional footballers", initiated.

Besides, the Barcelona club regretted that they have arrived to such extremes to demand some basic rights. "The Club appeals to the responsibility of all the actors that contribute to the feminine football to find an understanding in a subject that is main for the future of the competition and regrets that it have to arrive until the point of the strike of footballers that will take place the next weekend to demand some basic rights that all professional sportsman would have to see recognised", prayed the note.

In case that there is not entente, the FC Barcelona​ will support the strike. "It is wish of the Entity that, if there is not more remedy that carry it out, the way in that it do no desvirtúe the competition", published the club, adding that "the FC Barcelona reaffirms his commitment in the diffusion and in the visibility of the feminine football and reiterates that, in the current frame, the headline of the field where contest the parties is the one who has the right to broadcast them".

Without going out of the subject of the transmission of the parties, the Catalan entity launched a pray to all the clubs. "It is a duty by part of all the teams of the competition to issue the parties that contest in his installations, in the best possible conditions, to satisfy to the fans as well as to the sponsors of the First Iberdrola, that are fundamental pieces in the feasibility of the clubs", said the communiqué.

Finally, the note of the Barça expressed the wish of the club that the dialogue solve the problems. "With everything, the Entity wishes that this process of dialogue fructifique and allow to recover the unit of all the clubs to walk to a common management of this competition, avoiding conflicts that at all have to see with the improvement and evolution of the competition", concluded.

Fault of agreement

It is necessary to remember that there was not agreement between the Association of Clubs of Feminine Football and the union by the first agreement that posed , and east was the detonante for the announcement of strike by part of the footballers, that do not accept the fault of parity between men and women that exists in the Spanish football, with some big differences in every aspect of his labour life.
