WORKS AT CAMP NOU ARE ACCELERATING
FC Barcelona will be able to work at Spotify Camp Nou 24 hours a day
Good news for FC Barcelona. The Blaugrana team has reached an agreement with the City Council and the residents of Les Corts to be able to work on the remodelling of the Spotify Camp Nou 24 hours a day
The works at the Spotify Camp Nou continue to progress at a steady pace and this latest agreement with the City Council and the residents of Les Corts will allow them to work on the remodelling works 24 hours a day. This new regulation will begin this Thursday, September 11, under certain conditions and limitations for the workers.
At night, only indoor work will be permitted and without making noise. In areas where there are no flats nearby, such as the Les Corts cemetery or the old Masia, outdoor work will be until midnight and, as before, work will not be allowed in the Blaugrana facilities on weekends. This agreement was reached at a meeting held on September 11 in the afternoon, as reported by 'Beteve'. This agreement will be evaluated after a month and, if the regulations are not met, it may be cancelled.
Barça want to play at Camp Nou again this year
These new regulations will allow the workers to speed up the work with the aim of being able to return to the Spotify Camp Nou at the end of the year, with certain conditions. It is expected that the capacity will be limited in the coming months, because the works will continue even though matches can be played. In his press conference last week, Laporta said the following: "We do not want to set dates because then it may happen later or, even, it may happen before. This is already a reality, you just have to visit the stadium. Despite the obstacles, I believe that by the end of the year we will be able to return. It keeps us very excited."
According to the media 'SPORT', there are about 1,800 people currently working on the construction site, in addition to 350 office technicians. At the moment, work is being done on the structure of the third tier, including everything that involves foundations. Inside the building, repairs and installations are being carried out in the first and second tier. If all goes well, the first match of this year is scheduled to take place on December 22, 2024 against Atlético de Madrid, but renovations could continue until 2026.
