FC Barcelona has presented the poster for the club's 125th anniversary, the work of the Mallorcan artist Miquel Barceló

Barcelona Football Club has presented the poster for the club's 125th anniversary, the work of the Mallorcan artist Miquel Barceló. The event took place at the Auditori 1899 and was attended by the president Joan Laporta and the commissioner of the 125th anniversary, David Carabén.

The poster features the figure of a player dressed in the blue and red colours, representing, according to the artist, the Club's own playing system. Inside, the player includes many other human figures, a whole team, with its starters and substitutes. This footballer is also presented in a dynamic way and decorated with various plant, mineral and animal figures, especially marine ones, which are also elements that can be connected to football.

The event was attended by Joan Laporta, the vice presidents Rafa Yuste, Elena Fort, Antoni Escudero and Juli Guiu as well as the directors Xavier Puig, Josep Cubells, Xavier Barbany, Josep Ignasi Macià, Aureli Mas, Ángel Riudalbas and Joan Solé, members of the family Gamper, Danny Cruyff and also sports representatives of the club, such as Hansi Flick, Ronald Araújo, Frenkie De Jong, Salma Paralluelo, Sergio Lozano or Joel Parra.

The public also included members of the entity, sponsors of the Club and some of the Penyes that this year celebrate 50 years such as PB Agramunt i Comarca, PB Montgrí i Comarca and PB d’Arbúcies.

The Mallorcan painter and sculptor takes over from artists such as Josep Segrelles (25th anniversary), Sebastián Rey Padilla (50th anniversary), Joan Miró (75th anniversary) and Antoni Tàpies (centenary of the club), creators of the iconic commemorative posters for the club's anniversaries.

On the day the Club celebrates its 125th anniversary, FC Barcelona will bring together some of the most famous faces of Barcelona fans in the solemn celebration of the Blaugrana anniversary at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. Popular hike to Montserrat

Next Saturday, March 22, the Club will organize a popular walk between the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and Montserrat. As part of the Millennium of the Benedictine monastery, FC Barcelona will carry out this action for members to pay tribute to one of the most important institutions in Catalonia. Beforehand, the Club will make an institutional visit to the Pare Abat de Montserrat to consolidate the ties between the two entities within the framework of their respective anniversaries, the Millennium of the Abbey of Montserrat and the 125th anniversary of the Club.

At the end of the season, the Barça Foundation will organise a charity dinner with the aim of raising funds for the activities organised around the world by the Club's corporate social responsibility entity, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary.
