FC BARCELONA NEWS front page Wednesday 20th NOVEMBER 2024: Barcelona has announced to its members that the matches against Valencia and Alavés on matchdays 21 and 22 of the League will continue to be played at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. This is due to UEFA regulations that prevent changing stadiums during the initial phase of the Champions League, added to the logistical difficulties and the extra cost of maintaining the two stadiums simultaneously, the Barça Club has decided to continue playing at Montjuïc until the end of the initial phase of the Champions League. In addition to the league matches against Valencia CF and Club Deportivo Alavés, it is also contemplated that matchday 8 of the Champions League against Atalanta will be played at the Olympic Stadium. In this way and in compliance with UEFA regulations, Barça could return to its stadium, the new Spotify Camp Nou, on Sunday 16 February 2025, a date that coincides with FC Barcelona - Rayo Vallecano, on matchday 24 of LaLiga, since the previous matchday, number 23, Hansi Flick's team visited the Andalusian capital to face Sevilla FC.
