Andrés Iniesta has officially said goodbye to football. The player from Fuentealbilla announced his retirement as a professional player on Monday afternoon via a video on his social networks. In the audiovisual material entitled 'The Game Continues', the now ex-midfielder hints that he will continue to be linked to sport, and according to 'Mundo Deportivo' he will do so as a coach, starting with grassroots football to gradually train himself in the subject.

The emotional video published by one of the best players in the history of Barça and Spain showed a visibly emotional Andrés, to later reproduce images of his entire sporting career, since he was a child, with words from some very important people in his football career such as Luis Enrique, Louis van Gaal, Pep Guardiola, Vicente del Bosque, Serra Ferrer and Carlos Naval.

A Barça legend

Iniesta retires from football as a legend of Barça and La Roja. His list of achievements includes 38 titles: 9 Leagues, 6 Copa del Rey, 4 Champions Leagues, 3 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups and 7 Spanish Super Cups, as a Barça player. With the Spanish national team he won 2 Euro Cups and a World Cup, scoring in the final. In Japan, with Vissel Kobe, he won a cup, a league and a super cup. In addition to winning the award for best UEFA player in 2012.
