What are the rules for the Ballon d'Or?
How is the Ballon d'Or voted for? Each member of the jury selects ten players from a list of thirty nominees, ranking them from most to least deserving. Players receive points according to their position on this list: 15, 12, 10, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point, respectively.
The selection of the winner is based on three fundamental criteria: Individual performance, especially those decisive and impressive moments. The player's collective achievements and the titles won with his team. Class and fair play, highlighting ethical behaviour and sportsmanship.
