The city of Barcelona welcomes Diego Armando Maradona once again. The Villa Fiorito star, who wore the blue and red shirt between 1982 and 1984, returns to Barcelona through the immersive exhibition "Diego lives", which has as its main objective that the fans of the Argentine star remember him with all their senses.

Glasses to experience the "Goal of the century" in virtual reality, a recreation of his house in Villa Fiorito or a hologram of Maradona himself are some of the highlights of the exhibition, which will be in Catalonia for two months after passing through Naples and Tel Aviv.

A journey through the career of 'El Diego'

Visitors, who are greeted by a hologram of a young Maradona dressed in the Boca Juniors shirt, can see numerous images of the star, as well as try to shoot a penalty in the style of 'El Pelusa' or take a photo recreating the famous goal he scored against England in the quarter-finals of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, baptized as the 'Hand of God', with a ball hanging from the ceiling.

"Here it is like feeling that Diego is next to you again, and that is the idea, to feel it," explained Avelino Tamargo, one of the creators of this traveling exhibition that they also intend to take to other cities, and whose entrance costs 21 euros for adults and 12 for children.

Considered one of the best footballers in history, and world champion with the Albiceleste in 1986, Diego Armando Maradona died at the age of 60 on November 25, 2020 on the outskirts of Buenos Aires in his sickbed.
