Manuel Carrasco referred to the fines he received after his concert at the Santiago Bernabéu. The Spanish singer joked about a punishment that, for him, should be borne by Florentino Pérez
Manuel Carrasco was the star guest on the renowned program 'El Hormiguero' hosted by Pablo Motos on 'Antena 3'. The Spanish singer presented his new single, 'Pueblo salvaje', in an interview where he took the opportunity to talk about his concert at the Santiago Bernabéu. Although the event was a success, the Huelva native was fined 450,000 euros due to complaints from the stadium's neighbors, related to noise pollution.
"I get off because they fined everyone, misfortune shared is a comfort for... I really don’t understand what happened. We rented the Bernabéu to hold a concert and I have never been fined for excess noise," began the also Spanish composer. "They told us, turn it down, turn it down (the sound), but how do you turn down the sound if the person in the opposite stands says 'I can't hear you'", he added. In that sense, he made it clear how much he had to pay in fines for the incident.

"We got hit with three fines, two for the rehearsal days and one for the concert, each of 150,000 euros", explained Carrasco, who performed on June 29, 2024, at the white coliseum. In September, Madrid was forced to suspend and/or postpone all scheduled concerts for the final months of 2024, which included artists like Aitana, Lola Índigo, and Dellafuente, due to neighborhood complaints about noise.
Florentino, 'tied' hands to reschedule concerts at the Bernabéu
"We will continue to work to ensure that concerts are held under conditions that respect the environment", explained Real Madrid in the statement where they formalized the measure. Initially, concerts will return in the spring of 2025 (March or April), although the soundproofing work in the stadium will hardly meet the current municipal regulations for events of this type.
In this regard, Manuel Carrasco joked by sending a message to the president of the 'White House'. "I hope that in this case Florentino pays, I am also a Madrid fan and if I run into him, I will tell him", said the Spanish artist with laughter, who also assured that he and his team will appeal the fines, as it was a problem completely outside of their responsibility. One of the events definitively canceled was the Music Bank World Tour (K-Pop), which was to take place on October 12.
