A total of nine FC Barcelona players will be called up by their national teams this week to play in the FIFA matches of October. The double international matchday marks the continuation of the UEFA Nations League in Europe with its matchdays 3 and 4, while in South America the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup continue. At FCBN we review the dates and times of the matches of the Barça internationals in this October break:
Pau Cubarsí, Lamine Yamal and Pedri will see action with La Roja
Luis de la Fuente has called up four culés for the second double-header of the Nations League, a tournament in which La Roja is the reigning champion. Pau Cubarsí, Lamine Yamal and Pedri González will report to the European champions this week for the matches against Denmark (Saturday 12th, in Murcia) and Serbia (Tuesday 15th, in Córdoba). Both matches will be played at 20:45 Spanish time (8:45 PM CEST). Ferran Torres was also called up by the Spanish team, but his presence is practically ruled out after the muscle injury he suffered this Sunday in Alavés.
Koundé and Lewandowski will also be in the Nations League
The other two Barça internationals who will be in action in the UEFA Nations League are Jules Koundé and Robert Lewandowski. The centre-back will face Israel (Thursday 10) and then Belgium (Monday 14), both away games. Meanwhile, 'Lewy' will be with Poland for the matches against Portugal (Saturday 12) and Croatia (Tuesday 15), both at home.
Pablo Torre and Casadó will have two matches with the Spanish U-21
Pablo Torre and Marc Casadó have also been called up for the October FIFA matchday. Both will play two matches with the Spanish Under-21s coached by Santi Denia, corresponding to the qualifying rounds for the next European Championship in the category. The team will host Kazakhstan (Thursday 10) and Malta (Tuesday 15) at 8:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., respectively.
Raphinha returns to Brazil
After not being called up for the September squad, Raphinha is back with the Brazilian national team. In this window, the 'verdeamarela' will play two World Cup qualifying matches. The first will be against Chile on Friday 11 at 2:00 a.m. and the second against Peru on Wednesday 16 at 2:45 a.m.
