Kylian Mbappé will meet again next week with the board of directors of Paris Saint-Germain. Three months after his departure from the club, the striker hopes to conclude the legal battle over €55M that the Parisian club still owes him in salary and bonuses

The Ligue 1 Legal Commission summoned Kylian Mbappé and the board of directors of Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, September 11, to resolve the lawsuit filed by the player before the French Professional Football League (LFP) for a debt of 55 million euros that his former club refuses to pay him for sports bonuses and outstanding salaries. If there is no understanding between the parties and the player's legal defense is duly substantiated, the case will be transferred to ordinary justice.

According to 'L'Equipe', the confrontation between the Parisian team and the now 'crack' of Real Madrid was scheduled for next week, taking advantage of the presence of Bondy in the French capital during the international break. Mbappé was called up by Didier Deschamps for the matches against Italy and Belgium corresponding to the UEFA Nations League, where France will debut at home against the two strongest rivals in a group that is completed by Israel.

Mbappé insists on denying a "gentleman's agreement" with PSG

In principle, the negotiations between Kylian and PSG do not look good. The striker refers to the figures established in the contract he signed in 2022, while the club clings to the "gentlemen's agreement" that the player agreed to last summer, when the board even removed him from the first team as a pressure measure to finalize a renewal that, finally, never came.

Nasser Al Khelaïfi himself assures that, on August 12, 2023, Mbappé agreed to forgive a total of 80 million euros between salaries and bonuses corresponding to his last year of contract (Bondy signed for two seasons with the option of an additional one in 2022), but the player's defense insists that this commitment was never agreed in writing, so the club is obliged to pay him the entire outstanding money. Initially, 100 'kilos' were discussed, although the final figure would be €55M. Relations between the '10' and PSG broke down completely last February, after he officially announced his departure from the club at the end of the 23/24 season. Since then, everything has been in the hands of lawyers.
