FC Barcelona is keeping all its resources active with the aim of signing Dani Olmo, while they await the response from Nico Williams. The Barça board wants to incorporate both players into the team for next season

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The race to sign Dani Olmo has come down to two teams: FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich. The Blaugrana seem to be in the lead because the player from Terrassa has shown himself willing to do what is necessary to work with Hansi Flick starting next season. The German coach would be delighted with his arrival, because he sees him as the ideal piece to develop his game idea.

Although at this moment the Barça board is not negotiating for the RB Leipzig midfielder, the board and the player are confident that they will be able to find a solution for his transfer, set at 60 million euros by the German team. Despite the fact that the Spaniard's release clause was valid until July 20, the 'rojiblanco' team refuses to lower its price, but everything could change if the player insists on his departure, since he agreed to renew last year to avoid leaving for free this summer. However, Barça will not make any decision on the transfer until they sign Nico Williams.

Olmo leaves Bayern Munich

The Barça board can breathe easy because Olmo is still on holiday while waiting for an offer from the club, which could arrive within a couple of weeks. The Spaniard is clear that he wants to play for Barcelona and would not have any intention of listening to other offers, no matter how tempting they may be.

The winger would love to return to what was his home before leaving for Dinamo Zagreb and that is why he left Bayern Munich. The club's general manager, Max Eberl, saw the player as one of his main objectives for this summer. The Bavarians were in contact with his agents and were willing to pay the player's release clause to Leipzig, but Barça's interest ruined all their plans.

Other clubs interested in the European champions are Arsenal and Manchester City. Mikel Arteta sees him as a luxury reinforcement for next season, while Pep Guardiola is a fan of the player. However, neither club has submitted an offer, so it seems to be a matter of time before we see Olmo wearing the Blaugrana shirt.
