FC Barcelona has said goodbye to another executive this summer. The entity led by Joan Laporta no longer has Ángel Rocamora, who was one of those in charge of the economic area of the Blaugrana club and left a few weeks ago to undertake a new professional project in public administration.

Rocamora joined the Barça team at the beginning of 2020, when Josep Maria Bartomeu was still president. He started as the entity's fiscal manager and was later promoted to director of administration and finance. This position was one step below Pancho Schröder and he managed to keep it despite the change of board of directors.

Another executive says goodbye to Barça

Until the time of his resignation, Rocamora was below Barcelona's top financial officer, Manel Del Río, who was promoted after the departure of Maribel Meléndez, who was corporate director of the Blaugrana club. This is not the first time that the club has left the financial department, as Ferran Reverter, who was the general manager, and Eduard Romeu, who decided to leave his position as economic vice president in March, have already said goodbye.

This information, revealed by the newspaper 'Ara', establishes that Marcel Ramírez will be the new finance director and who worked as head of administration and accounting, treasury and consolidation, and administration of subsidiaries. Since 2020 he has also been director of planning and economic control. Rocamora's departure can be added to that of the head of the strategy area, Albert Bagó, who has reportedly submitted his resignation to go to Girona after 6 years at the club.
