Hansi Flick has confirmed the FC Barcelona lineup for the match against Valladolid in the 2024/25 LaLiga matchday 4. This is the Barça XI: Ter Stegen; Koundé, Cubarsí, Iñigo, Balde; Casadó, Pedri, Olmo; Raphinha, Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona host Valladolid this Saturday in what will be the fourth game of the 'Hansi Flick era' in LaLiga. The Blaugrana team will return to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, after their home debut in LaLiga 2024-2025 a week ago with a victory against Athletic Club, against a rival that is on the decline. The pucelanos achieved a victory at home against Espanyol on the first matchday, but since then they were thrashed by Real Madrid (3-0) and 'scraped' a point at the José Zorrilla against Leganés (0-0).

After achieving three wins in the first three games, the Barcelona team hopes to maintain its invincibility and add 12 out of 12 in LaLiga. A difficult task but far from impossible for a Blaugrana team whose sensations are increasingly better. If they win against Paulo Pezzolano's men, the Catalans will go into the international break unbeaten and top, making a decisive statement.

As for Barça, the German coach is preparing to give Dani Olmo minutes from the start, who after being registered before the clash against Rayo Vallecano, will be able to make his debut as a starter in front of his fans. However, the Blaugrana midfield is 'depleted' in terms of players, as Marc Bernal said goodbye to the season after suffering a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and an injury associated with the external meniscus. This is the Blaugrana XI against Valladolid, with a couple of changes compared to the one presented in Vallecas against Rayo.

Confirmed lineups for FC Barcelona-Valladolid

  • FC Barcelona's XI: Ter Stegen; Koundé, Cubarsí, Iñigo, Balde; Casadó, Pedri, Olmo; Raphinha, Lewandowski y Lamine Yamal.
  • FC Barcelona's bench: Peña, Gerard Martín, Pablo Torre, Fermín, Pau Víctor, Astralaga, Héctor Fort, Ferran, Sergi Domínguez y Cuenca.
  • Valladolid's XI: Hein; Luis Pérez, Cömert, Javi Sánchez, Rosa; Juric, Kike Pérez, Amallah; Iván Sánchez, Moro y Marcos André.

Flick has put in exactly the XI that was expected, with the obligatory addition of Marc Casadó for the injured Marc Bernal in the pivot. The young 17-year-old midfielder will be injured until next season and Barça's Kimmich will come in for him against Valladolid to give balance to the team. Pedri will be a little higher up, although he will sometimes act as a kind of double pivot, and Dani Olmo, which is the other change that the coach has introduced, will be the playmaker, just like in his debut against Rayo, in which he scored and he was the MVP.

The German, therefore, had to do without one of the wingers who had been playing, opting for Ferran Torres, who in the first days played on the left. In his place will be Raphinha, who had been playing as a midfielder with complete freedom, but against the Valladolid team he will stick to the left side. Lamine Yamal will continue on the right and Robert Lewandowski as '9' to continue scoring the team's goals.
