This is how Víctor Font responded to Xavi's 'flight' from the electoral campaign

This Friday, Xavi Hernández published a letter in the national day of Catar in which it postponed his arrival to the FC Barcelona, in an indirect way of desmarcarse of any candidature in the elections to the Barcelona presidency of the next 24 January. In a back interview with the Newspaper of Catalonia, reiterated that it does not go to 'wet' by any precandidato when they asked after him Víctor Font or Joan Laporta.

If Joan Laporta already had answered to Xavi Hernández in an act of presentation of some members of his managerial board, Víctor Font followed suit in another celebrated event in his electoral headquarters of Olivia Balmes Hotel of Barcelona, in the presentation of three new directives of his precandidatura: Annamari Basora, Carolina Fabregat and María José Balañá.

"Xavi is the angular stone of my project"

Víctor Font comprised to perfection that Xavi Hernández do not position with any candidature, since do it could have not been positive for the FC Barcelona. "For the sake of the Barça, and is something that Xavi shares, is not well that he was associated to a candidature. It is something that would not have any sense because the ideal is that it win the one who win the elections, have Xavi", commented.

However, Víctor Font was conclusive in his answer to the words of the mythical ex player culé. The precandidato ensured that in his project "worked along the last years, Xavi is a very important part and an angular stone" and added that "I already knew that it went to publish this letter, because it is the National Day of Catar and because has agreement like ambassador of Catar 2022".

In definite, Víctor Font wanted to leave clear that, although Xavi Hernández do not go to position publicly, he is the only precandidato to the presidency that has spoken with the egarense on the future sportive project of the FC Barcelona. "Well it is true that the only that have worked a project in which he can fit and work to taste are we", manifested.

The renewal of Leo Messi and the economic plot

Víctor Font also spoke of one of lso key names of face to the elections, that goes to be the one of Leo Messi. For him, the Argentinian star has to be still in the first team some years more for afterwards follow linked with the club. About the economic situation, Víctor Font wanted to be realistic and admitted that "the sportive wages are above what the club can allow nowadays", although has in mind a "plan of crash" to readjust the wages and adapt them to the new financial reality. "We go to have to restructure the part salarial", admitted the precandidato.

In spite of this, Víctor Font showed his optimism about being able to improve the finances of the Catalan entity. "The income will go back to go up and the economic situation of the club will improve. Our intention is to devote the excedentes of the resources to reinforce the sportive project and patrimonial", sentenced.
