REVEALED BY THE ITALIAN PRESS

Inter would have already negotiated with Arturo Vidal and would only need to convince Barça

The Italian press keeps insisting that Arturo Vidal is getting closer to Inter Milan, a movement that would not favor FC Barcelona if Aleñá also packed away

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The days go by and the situation of Arturo Vidal is not uneven, but rather the opposite. The subject of the alleged complaint to FC Barcelona for a default of 2.4 million euros has added more fuel to the fire, and could be seen as a strategy around the Chilean when trying to force his departure from Barça during this same market winter, given the interest in the Serie A.

From Italian lands, in fact, it is insisted again and again that Inter Milan is very close to signing Arturo Vidal, something that directly clashes with the sports planning of FC Barcelona in the short term. And it is that in the last hours we have known that Carles Aleñá would have already closed his cession to Real Betis for the remainder of the course - waiting for it to be official - and losing two midfielders in January would be a brutal risk.

Arthur Melo is not recovered from his pubic problems, and Ernesto Valverde would only have Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong and Rakitic available, not counting a Sergi Roberto who usually acts more on the right side. If the extreme case of losing the two midfielders were reached in January, and knowing that Barça does not plan to sign, opportunities would surely come to Riqui Puig.

Be that as it may, 'Tuttosport' insists that Inter Milan offers 12 million euros for Arturo Vidal, while FC Barcelona would only agree to part with it in exchange for 20 'kilos'. As much interest as they have the 'nerazzurri' and the supposed attempts of the Chilean to force his departure, Barça is the one that has taken the pan by the handle at the moment.

If the culé team does not want to transfer Arturo Vidal mid-season, he will not. The midfielder has a valid contract and must comply, so there is no twist. At this juncture, Inter are also looking for alternatives in the event that Arturo Vidal does not leave for the Conte team.

Inter also handles alternatives

One of those options is Nahitan Nández, Uruguayan midfielder from Cagliari, who could arrive on loan with an option to buy from January, ahead of the German Julian Weigl of Borussia Dortmund, also offered to the Italians. The preference of Conte and Inter, in any case, remains an Arturo Vidal with whom the conditions of his future contract in the club 'nerazzurri' would already be agreed. We will see if Barça endorses the operation or if, on the contrary, it is committed to retaining it at least until the end of the season.
