At Camp Nou they are working on the transformation of a stadium that promises to be a gold mine for the club thanks to its VIP spaces

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The reconstruction of the Barcelona stadium, which aims to accommodate 66,000 season ticket holders by mid-February, not only means a structural improvement, but also a strategic commitment to the premium seat business, essential for FC Barcelona's economy.

While cranes and heavy machinery are advancing in the construction of the third tier and the double VIP ring, Barça has already guaranteed million-dollar revenues with the advance sale of these exclusive spaces. Around 6,600 seats have been acquired through long-term contracts, which guarantees an annual income of 30 million euros.

A gold mine in the heart of Camp Nou

With the advice of Legends, a consultancy specialising in sports management, Barça has turned its VIP offer into a benchmark model. From boxes and suites with capacity for 4 or 12 people to premium seats with access to exclusive areas, the club has already signed contracts that guarantee 250 million euros in long-term income.

In addition, 40% of the 2,800 seats on the pitch have been sold, with prices ranging from 8,000 to 22,000 euros per season. This model not only strengthens the club's treasury, but also attracts national and international companies looking for a unique experience on match days.

The American model: an innovative solution

To continue expanding its VIP business, Barça is considering the transfer of boxes for 20 years to foreign investors, in a model inspired by large American stadiums such as the AT&T Stadium of the Dallas Cowboys. This system, known as the "Personal Seat License", allows the club to maintain control over end users and prevents, for example, seats from being occupied by rival fans.

A return conditioned by licenses

Although Barça is working to reopen the stadium with limited capacity in February, the decision is in the hands of the Barcelona City Council, the Fire Department, the RFEF and UEFA, who must approve the corresponding licenses. In the meantime, the works do not stop, and the club continues to prepare the way for the Spotify Camp Nou to be much more than a stadium: an economic engine capable of supporting FC Barcelona's ambitious sporting project.
