The Barça Femení players, Vicky López and Aitana Bonmatí, were awarded by 'Tuttosport' as the Golden Girl and the Golden Player Woman, respectively

The awards ceremony hosted by the media outlet 'Tuttosport' definitely turned blaugrana.  Perhaps the most representative award of this selection of accolades, the Golden Boy, was secured by one of the great talents from the house, Lamine Yamal, who became the fourth culé to have achieved this distinction, following Leo Messi (2005), Pedri González (2021), and Pablo Gavi (2022).

Furthermore, Barcelona also swept the awards in the women's category. Why? Because the players from Barça Femení, Vicky López and Aitana Bonmatí, received the Golden Girl 2024 and the Golden Player Woman 2024 awards,  respectively, thus sealing a memorable evening for the culé entity as an institution. Their remarkable talents have undoubtedly been recognized as some of the best in the world.

Vicky López made history by clinching the Golden Girl 2024 title

In this regard, the midfielder from Barça Femení, Vicky López, has now etched herself into the history of the Blaugrana club, as she became the first culé and Spaniard to win the Golden Girl award,  which has been presented since 2018 and previously had winners such as Linda Caicedo (Real Madrid - 2023), Jule Brand (Wolfsburg - 2022), Martina Tomaseli (Sassuolo - 2021), Asia Bragonzi (Hellas Verona - 2020), Giada Greggi (AS Roma - 2019), and Benedetta Glionna (Juventus - 2018).

Vicky López,  undoubtedly, had significant merits to earn this award, competing with nine other players: Giulia Dragoni, also a culé and currently on loan at Roma; Eva Schatzer (Juventus); Amelie Joseph (Metz); Ana Guzmán (Bayern Munich); Zara Kramzar (Como); Lily Johannes (Ajax); Freya Godfrey (Arsenal); and Wieke Kaptein (Chelsea).

The Madrid native is a player who is gaining increasing prominence in Barça Femení, with a footballing potential that knows no bounds and is also beginning to shine in the Spanish national team, where she has become a recurrent figure in the plans of the national coach, Montse Tomé.

Aitana Bonmatí continues to add to an impeccable career

Now, What more can be said about the Golden Player Woman 2024, Aitana Bonmatí? The Sant Pere de Ribes native clinches this award for the second time in her career, the first being last year (2023). It is noteworthy that in this category, the Blaugrana team has a strong hold, as before these awards, Alexia Putellas won it in 2022 and Lieke Martens in 2021.

Now, Aitana Bonmatí adds a completely deserved award to her name after a year in which she has won everything collectively and stood out individually, to the extent of achieving, among other things, her second consecutive Ballon d'Or. There is little room for debate about this player, who is arguably the best footballer in the world with little margin for discussion.
