Hansi Flick has confirmed the call-up of FC Barcelona for the third matchday of LaLiga against Rayo Vallecano. In this match, the Barça team will finally be able to count on its great summer addition, Dani Olmo, as it seeks to maintain its perfect pace in the local tournament

The FC Barcelona has officially announced its list of 23 players called up for the match on Tuesday, August 27th against Rayo Vallecano, which will take place at 9:30 pm at the Vallecas Stadium. In this match, the Culé team will seek a necessary victory to maintain its winning streak in the local tournament, after defeating Valencia CF (1-2) at Mestalla and Athletic Club (1-2) at Montjuïc.

Regarding Coach Hansi Flick's squad selection, there aren't many surprises compared to the previous match against Athletic Club. The big news is the inclusion of Dani Olmo, who is now officially registered in LaLiga as a Barcelona player. This means that he will be considered by the German coach, unlike the previous match where, although he seemed to be an eligible player, the club mentioned that his participation was conditioned on his timely registration, which did not happen in that match but did in this one.

Surprisingly, in this list, Eric García (whose name has been the subject of debate regarding his continuity in the club) was dropped at the last minute. This absence was justified by the Barcelona team due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Given this situation, it's not surprising that the German coach decided to include another young player from the academy, Andrés Cuenca, in the first team to strengthen the ailing zone of defenders, which has been affected by injuries recently.

Furthermore, in terms of absences, the Catalan team has not received any positive news. The Barcelona infirmary, after the recent addition of Andreas Christensen (Achilles tendinopathy), continues to have the same four injured players: Gavi, with a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and an associated injury in the lateral meniscus; Ronald Araújo, with a hamstring tendon injury in his right thigh; Frenkie de Jong, with a severe grade two sprain in his right ankle; and Ansu Fati, with a foot injury in his right foot.
