LaLiga announced on Wednesday that it will thoroughly review the resolution of the Higher Sports Council (CSD) in favor of the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. As long as the governmental body does not issue a final ruling, FC Barcelona will be able to count on both players for all ongoing competitions (League, Cup, Supercopa de España, and Champions), since both the league and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) must grant provisional licenses to the two footballers.
This, however, does not prevent these organizations from presenting any arguments to reverse the precautionary measure of the CSD, which has a maximum deadline of three months (until April 7) to announce its final decision. Likewise, LaLiga clubs have the right to present their claims against a ruling that contradicts the initial stance of LaLiga and the RFEF, although the appeal for improper alignment will not proceed in this case.
Barça can align Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor without issues
And indeed, starting this weekend, both Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor will be eligible to play again, according to the provisions of article 248 of the General Regulations of the RFEF, regarding the requirements that clubs must meet to align players who are "properly registered and in possession of a license obtained during the established periods".
As long as the final ruling from the CSD does not occur (which, barring a major surprise, will be favorable to Barça), the only way LaLiga and the RFEF can find to disqualify the two culé reinforcements from last summer again is to achieve the annulment of the precautionary measure through a contentious-administrative appeal, which can also be presented, individually, by any club in the Spanish Primera División.
