Robert Lewandowski had another forgettable league match against Atlético de Madrid (1-2). The Pole had several clear opportunities but once again failed to score

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The defeat of FC Barcelona in Montjuïc against Atlético de Madrid (1-2) once again had Robert Lewandowski as one of the main targets in the azulgrana team. The Pole, despite his great start to the season, has been dragging an untimely drop in LaLiga since early November that, coincidentally, has coincided with the azulgrana's free fall in the tournament.

After Saturday's match, the '9' has only scored 2 goals in the last 7 rounds (he was a substitute against Mallorca), after scoring 14 goals in the first 11 matches. 'Lewy' scored in the draw against Betis (2-2) a couple of weeks ago and had done the same in Balaídos against Celta (2-2). In LaLiga, in Montjuïc, his last goal was scored in the 'manita' against Sevilla (5-1) on October 20, a match in which he scored a brace.

The goal was closed for Lewandowski against Atlético

The match against Atlético was particularly frustrating for Robert. In the first half, Raphinha, Fermín, and Gavi looked for him on multiple occasions from above, with crosses to the heart of the area that the Pole always arrived a second late. In the 5th minute, he managed to head a cross from Raphinha, but the header went very high. In the second half, the Warsaw native also lacked a bit of spark to finish two good crossed passes from Koundé and Ferran, although in the action led by the 'Shark' there was an offside beforehand.

In total, Lewandowski finished the match with 5 shots (only 1 on target), 13 out of 15 completed passes, and only 4 duels won out of 9 individual confrontations. Undoubtedly, the experienced forward's firepower has diminished in recent weeks, a key factor for a Barça that relies too much on his goals in the absence of Lamine Yamal.
